Airtificial has signed a new automotive contract worth two million euros with a global Chinese Tier-1 supplier for the design, manufacturing, installation, and delivery of a turnkey production line for the automatic assembly and testing of electromechanical brakes (EMB) for electric vehicles. The company has informed the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) that the end client is a significant Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer. This project, which will be conducted by the ‘Intelligent Robots’ division, is set to last 20 weeks and will take place in Airtificial’s newly opened facilities in the Suzhou Industrial Park, which launched in July of this year. It marks the first assembly and testing line of brakes that Airtificial will produce for this long-standing client, who has requested more than 353 assembly lines from them annually for 25 years, as highlighted by Airtificial. The EMB assembly line for electric and hybrid vehicles is a technology that the ‘Intelligent Robots’ division has been developing for five years, and Airtificial views it as one of its most strategic products due to the significant sales growth potential in the coming years. This assembly line, equipped with advanced artificial intelligence components, enables production cycles of 23 seconds, measures approximately 31 meters in length and 11 meters in width, and includes 23 assembly and testing stations, as detailed by the company. Furthermore, Airtificial noted that this technology incorporates artificial vision, robotics, radio frequency identification for traceability, servo presses, plasma cleaning systems, and automatic dispensing systems, among other features. The delivery of this latest order to China is scheduled to occur after 20 weeks of manufacturing at one of the client’s main facilities in the Asian country. «Electromechanical brakes represent one of the most promising industrial innovations for electric mobility.»
